You don't need a kiosk like this one to integrate everyday text in your reading lessons. You can use a bulletin board, file folder, notebook or even a decorated cereal box. Bring in a variety of interesting everyday text and make it available to students for self-selected reading: recipes, posters, greeting cards, trading cards, and so forth. Model for students how you are always finding interesting texts in all kinds of places, and they will soon be sharing their finds.
